IT asset tracking software
IT Asset Tracking Software for Every Laptop, Monitor and Phone You Issue.
Trackora gives IT teams one record of the hardware they issue: serial numbers and warranties, the person or place each device is assigned to, and its full history, from a new starter’s first day to a leaver’s last return.

Why IT hardware is hard to keep track of
IT equipment moves more than almost anything else an organization owns. Laptops are swapped when they fail, monitors follow people between desks, spare phones go out on loan, and every new starter and leaver changes who holds what. A spreadsheet of serial numbers is out of date by the end of the first week.
IT equipment tracking works when recording each move is part of making it: the hand-over to a new starter, the loan, the return from a leaver. Trackora makes those the same step, so your record of every computer, laptop and phone stays right without a separate update.
- Find any device by its serial number
- See every device a person holds
- Recover all of a leaver’s equipment
- Spot warranties before they end
How Trackora tracks your IT hardware
Shown with the real application and a fictional company.
A record for every laptop, monitor and phone
Each device has its own record: tag, serial number, manufacturer, model, category and location, with the supplier, order or invoice number, purchase date and cost, and the date its warranty ends. A serial number can only belong to one device in your workspace.
Find any device by its tag, name, serial number, model or manufacturer, and bring your existing hardware list in from a CSV file with the same columns; Trackora shows any problems before anything is imported.
Know which devices each person holds
Assign each device to the person who uses it, or to a location such as an IT store or a meeting room. A person’s page lists every laptop, monitor and phone they hold, with any due-back dates, and the people you issue hardware to do not need a Trackora account.

Prepare a new starter’s equipment, and hand it over in one step
Put together a kit for someone joining: a laptop, a monitor, a keyboard. Adding a device to the kit does not reserve it, and only devices that are ready and not checked out can be added. When the person starts, hand the kit over and every device in it is checked out to them at once, or none of them if one is no longer available.

Recover every device when someone leaves
Start offboarding and Trackora lists everything the person still holds as a recovery checklist; return each device as it comes back. Only the workspace owner can mark someone inactive while devices are still out, and must record a reason.

Lend spare laptops and accessories, and get them back
Check out a loan laptop or a projector with a due-back date, record its return and condition, or transfer it straight to the next person. The Checked out and overdue report shows every device that is out and which ones are past their date.

QR labels on every device
Print a QR label for each device with its tag and name. Scanning it with a phone camera opens the device’s page for members of your workspace, where it can be checked out or returned on the spot; to anyone else, the label opens nothing.

Physical stocktakes of your IT hardware
Count an office, an IT store or a category such as laptops by scanning each device’s label. Trackora shows what was found, what is missing, and what is somewhere other than its record says, and keeps each completed stocktake on record.

Device history and IT hardware reports
Every check-out, return, transfer and change goes into the device’s history, naming the team member who made it and when. Reports show hardware by category and location with its purchase cost, who holds what and what is overdue, warranties that have expired or end within 30 or 90 days, and the results of each stocktake, and each can be downloaded as a CSV file.
Access controls for your IT team
Invite your team into one workspace, each with a role. Changes go into an activity log that owners and administrators can read and nobody in the workspace can edit, and each workspace is kept apart from every other in the database itself.
Owner
Full control of the workspace, including ownership and its web address.
Administrator
Manages members, invitations, workspace settings, people records and the inventory set-up: categories, locations, suppliers and archiving.
Member
Adds, edits and looks after assets. Cannot manage members, people records, settings or the inventory set-up.

What Trackora does not do
Trackora tracks the physical IT hardware your team issues and recovers. It is not an IT management or security tool:
- No automatic device discovery: Trackora does not scan your network or connect to devices. Your team adds each device, one at a time or from a CSV file.
- No software tracking: Trackora records physical hardware, not the programs installed on it or the subscriptions you pay for.
- No device management or monitoring: no remote lock or wipe, no installing updates, and no health, usage or security data from devices.
- No live location: Trackora records the person or place your team assigns a device to, not where it is right now.
- No automatic connections to directory, helpdesk or purchasing systems: records come in and go out as CSV files.
- No servicing or repair scheduling, and no calculation of a device’s value over time.
Pricing
One subscription per workspace, from $39 a month, for your whole team, with every feature on every plan. See pricing for the plans, or go back to the Trackora home page.
Questions
- What is IT asset tracking software?
- Software that keeps a record of an organization’s IT hardware: what each device is, its serial number and warranty, who has it, and what has happened to it since it was bought. It replaces the spreadsheet that drifts out of date as laptops change hands.
- Does Trackora find devices on our network or read what is installed on them?
- No. Trackora does not connect to devices at all. Your team records each device, and its record is kept up to date by every check-out, return, transfer and stocktake.
- Can we record serial numbers and warranty dates?
- Yes. Each device has a serial number, manufacturer, model, purchase date and cost, and warranty end date. You can search by serial number, and the warranties report lists what has expired or ends soon.
- How do we get equipment back from someone who is leaving?
- Start offboarding on their page. Trackora lists every device they hold as a recovery checklist, and you return each one as it comes back. The checklist shows what is still outstanding until everything is in.
- Do employees need a Trackora account?
- No. The people you issue hardware to are records in Trackora. Only the members of your team you invite sign in, as an owner, administrator or member.
- Is there a free trial?
- Yes. Every new workspace starts with a free trial, and no payment details are needed to start.
