QR code asset tracking software

Put a QR Label on Every Asset, and Open Its Record in One Scan.

Print QR asset labels from your equipment list, scan one with your phone to see what it is, where it belongs and who has it, and count everything by scanning. Labels open only for your team.

A sheet of six QR asset labels in Trackora, each with a tag, a name and the workspace name, ready to print

Print QR labels from your asset list

Choose one asset or select several, and Trackora lays out a label for each: its QR code, tag, name and your workspace's name. Pick a small (50 × 25 mm) or large (70 × 35 mm) label and print up to 200 at a time from your browser, on your own printer.

The code holds the asset's own identity rather than its tag, so a label keeps working when you rename the asset or change your workspace's address.

Why a sticker with a number is not enough

  • Someone has to find the number in a spreadsheet before they know anything about the item.
  • Typing tags by hand during an audit is slow, and one wrong digit counts the wrong thing.
  • A printed sheet of tags goes out of date the moment an item moves or changes hands.

Scan a label with your phone to open the asset

Point your phone's camera at a label and its link opens that asset in the browser: what it is, where it should be, who has it and its history. From there you can check it out, take it back or update it. There is no app to install.

If you are not signed in on that phone, Trackora asks you to sign in first, then takes you straight to the asset.

Or scan inside Trackora

The Scan page in Trackora uses your device's camera to read a label and open the asset as soon as the code is read. Camera images stay on the device; only the code is sent. No camera, or a worn label? Type the tag printed on it instead.

A label shows nothing to anyone outside your team

A label opens its asset only for members of your workspace. Anyone else who scans it sees the same message as for a label that does not exist, so a label found in a car park or a meeting room gives nothing away.

Count your equipment by scanning

Start a stocktake for a location and count what is really there by scanning each label, or typing its tag. Trackora compares each asset with where the records say it is, shows what is missing or out of place, and keeps every stocktake on record.

What you do after a scan

A scan opens the asset, and everything else Trackora does starts there: lending it with a due-back date and getting it back, with equipment check-in and check-out, and keeping track of the laptops and phones each person holds, with employee asset tracking.

How it works

  1. 1

    Import your equipment

Upload your list as a CSV file, or add assets one at a time.

  2. 2

    Print the labels

Select the assets, choose a label size and print from your browser.

  3. 3

    Stick them on

One label per asset, where it is easy to reach with a phone.

  4. 4

    Scan to find and update

Open any asset by scanning its label, then check it out, return it or count it.

What Trackora does not do

  • Trackora does not sell labels or tags, and does not connect to label printers: you print from your browser, on your own printer and labels.
  • A label is found by scanning it; Trackora does not show where equipment is between scans.
  • There is no app to download, and no offline mode: Trackora runs in your phone's browser and needs a connection.
  • Not stock control: each label is one asset, not a quantity of items.

Pricing

One subscription per workspace, from $39 a month, for your whole team, billed monthly or once a year. See pricing for the plans.

Questions

Do I need a special scanner or an app?
No. Your phone's camera opens a label's link in the browser, and the Scan page in Trackora reads labels with your device's camera too. You can also type the tag printed on a label.
What does someone who finds a label see?
Nothing about the asset. Someone who is not signed in is asked to sign in, and anyone who is not a member of your workspace is told the label does not open anything they can see.
Who on my team can print labels and scan them?
Every owner, administrator and member of your workspace. The people who borrow equipment are records in Trackora, not accounts, so a label does not open for them.
Do labels still work if I rename an asset?
Yes. The code holds the asset's own identity, not its tag or name, so renaming the asset or changing your workspace's address does not break its label.
